Metal belt type continuously variable transmission(CVT)is widely used in home and abroad,provides a continuously variable ratio,with good handing,ride comfort and fuel economy,therefore favored by the automotive industry.But metal belt type CVT is only suitable for low-emission cars,due to defects like the friction existed made it deliver low torque,precision of velocity ratio was effected by abrasion and complexity of hydraulic control systems.Aiming at the problem existed in traditional metal belt-type CVT,this thesis describes a new CVT,vane deformed tooth engagement CVT(abbreviated " movable teeth CVT"),which is able to transfer high torque,with simple structure,and unique transmission mechanism.The virtual prototype model of the new sliding vane movable teeth CVT was established to analyze its movement relationship and transmission performance.The main research work and results are as follows:(1)According to analysis method of the metal belt type CVT,the basic geometry relationship of sliding vane movable teeth CVT was analyzed,and the length of metal chain,wrapangle,axial misalignment,speed ratio and its change formula were obtained.The working principle and the motion relationship of sliding vane movable teeth CVT were analyzed;The basic structure of CVT was determined based on the engagement principle and kinematics relationship of sliding vane movable teeth CVT were analyzed.(2)Parameters of the main components of the sliding vane movable teeth CVT were determined,through analyzing its working principle and mechanism.3D models of its key parts and components were established by using Solid Works,virtual assembly and interference test were performed on the sliding vane movable teeth transmission components.(3)Then static analysis of core unit of the sliding vane movable teeth CVT,sliding vane,was performed using ANSYS Workbench,to provide guidance for the key parts material selection;according to stable transmission requirements of self-locking while meshing transmission and sliding vane movable teeth transmission component easy to slide into tooth while centrifugal force was applied,optimum design model was established,to optimize the design of the sliding vane,the thickness of the sliding vane was reduced from2.5mm to 1.6mm after optimization,the optimization effect is obvious,and the structure is more reasonable.(4)Kinematics and dynamics analysis of the transmission system were performed using dynamics simulation software ADAMS.The input and output rotational speed curve,transmission ratio change curves and input axle torque figure were obtained on the condition of sliding vane movable teeth CVT transmission ratio change and constant.According to the analysis of relative error for simulation results and the theoretical value,it verified that the transmission process was feasible and correct.The sliding vane movable teeth CVT researched in this paper evolved from metal belt type CVT,which has the advantage of both belt drive and gear transmission.It is able to deliver greater torque,overcoming the shortcoming of conventional belt type CVT.So it has a good application prospect.
