Under the background of the development of an electro-optical pod servo control system, the overall design scheme of the pod servo control system is discussed in details in this thesis. Also, the system software design and development process based on DSP is introduced, and the study on the tracking technology of electro-optical pod is emphasized. The major contents of the thesis are shown as below:1. Guided by the system functional requirements and technical indicators, an overall scheme of servo control system based on DSP and FPGA is designed in this thesis, and the system hardware circuit design scheme is discussed. Besides, the characteristics and functions of the core chip are introduced.2. According to the system functional requirements and the hardware circuit scheme, the design philosophy and implementation method of the servo control software is mainly discussed. Besides, the system software process based on modularized processing is designed, and the function of each module and their mutual relations are introduced. Process design and development of software for each module are discussed, with some of the key technologies used in the software design and development process introduced.3. A series of research is carried out in view of the pod electro-optical tracking technology, and the electro-optical tracking principle and measurement technology are introduced. Meanwhile, the causes of miss distance delay and its effects on the system performance is discussed, and the composite control method is proposed. On the base of above research, the Kalman prediction filter compensation algorithm is used to solve the delay problem of miss distance, and the simulation is done by Matlab.4. The testing and commissioning process of the servo control system is presented. On the base of the electrical test and basic functions test of DSP software, the system performance specifications and functions debugging are completed. Debugging results show that the pod servo control system can meet all of the design requirements.This pod servo control system has passed the finally technical acceptance, and is already put into practical use.
