With the Stone mastic asphalt asphalt(SMA) technology becomes more mature, SMA pavement has been widely applied. Researcher's interest has been attracted by the excellent high temperature stability, low temperature anti-cracking, anti-slide that SMA performance, and the good durability has also been approved by researcher. However in different degree and different diseases, such as water seepage, asphalt squeezed appeared in the construction and operation of SMA pavement by the growing traffic and imperfect mixture ratio design and construction technology of SMA pavement, which has serious impact on the pavement performance. In this paper, combine with the construction of XinXu expressway, the upper-layer design for modified asphalt SMA-13, in order to cope with the large volume of traffic and the adverse impacts of climate facing the full Stone Mastic Asphalt(SMA) excellent road performance, ultimately improving the quality of XinXu expressway to extend life and improve driving comfort and safety and other targets, leading to significant economic and social benefits.From the SMA mixture material composition, effect of various materials and mechanical strength mixture mechanism, characteristic of SMA mixture was analyzed theoretically. Combine with the construction of XinXu expressway, experiment in different condition of SMA pavement, in order to find out how the compaction times and mixing temperature influence SMA and confirm a suitable compaction times and mixing temperature. The results show that the best SMA-13 asphalt compaction times number of XinXu expressway is from 75 to 80 times more than ordinary Marshall compaction test 50 times higher than the number of 56%-60%, the proper optimum mixing temperature is 175 ?. Marshall specimen compaction at optimum times and optimum mixing temperature conditions performance better physical and mechanical properties, more in line with actual real traffic condition.Summarize the technology of construction and quality guarantee which SMA-13 pavement applied according to the construction of XinXu expressway. At the same time, made test-piece with design of asphalt content and the optimum asphalt content according to the SMA-13 mixture gradation and mixing temperature that confirmed to do wheel tracking test, trabecular bending test at low temperature, Marshall immersion stability test and Freeze thaw split test, which meet the requirements of specification.Based on the SMA-13 pavement construction of XinXu expressway to study of construction technology and quality control technology.Summarize the technology of construction and quality control of SMA-13.
