Gearbox is one of the most widely used components as modern machinery industry with the advantages of high efficiency and precision,carrying capacity and others.Because of both the working environment and their own structural characteristics,that the gearbox is very prone to failure damage.The devices can't work properly will bring huge economic losses unnecessarily.Gearbox condition monitoring and fault diagnosing can be timely and effective to find the fault and repair the damage caused by gearbox and minimize losses;Use the traditional hardware instruments for the gearbox condition monitoring and fault diagnosis,it needs to pay the high cost of acquisition,signal process and analysis instrument settings are more single,lack of flexibility.So it is necessary of developing powerful,low cost gearbox condition monitoring and fault diagnosis system.On the base of understanding how the gearbox works,structural features and more mature fault diagnosis method,it describes how to design and develop the gearbox condition monitoring and fault diagnosis system in this paper.The system includes six mainly features,such as : user login,gearbox vibration signals data collection,storage and playback of data acquisition signals,signals processing and analysis,fault diagnosis and database management.Software system uses Lab VIEW programming environment for the development platform,with simulation software instead of the testing function of hardware equipment,system cost is reduced;Under normal use of the system,User login function increases the safety of users and prevent the illegal tampering of data storage and systems;By using the hardware system of sensors,data acquisition card and computer,combining with the data acquisition software system,we can collect the vibration signal data of gearbox,monitor the status real-time through the real-time display;Take advantage of Lab VIEW programming environment,using a variety of signal processing methods for signal analysis and processing,to achieve a variety of complementary methods,comprehensive analysis functions.Using of gearbox fault signal characteristics to identify and extract the fault signal form three side of time domain,frequency domain,time-frequency domain;Particularly the use of ensemble empirical mode decomposition method breaks down the non-linear and non-stationary signals in accordance with the inherent characteristics of the signal components,obtains the average intrinsic mode function of signal.Finally calculate the instantaneous frequency and Hilbert spectrum of the single intrinsic mode function,to prominent the characteristics of the fault signal and improves the accuracy of fault diagnosis.
