In order to effectively utilize waste heat of power plants to solve heat load demand and supply mismatch.In this paper, the plant has taken absorption heat pump, steam-driven heat source in the winter, lithium bromide solution as absorbent and water as refrigerant.the use of water in low-pressure vacuum low boiling boiling characteristics of the state, extracting low-grade waste heat sources of heat, to recover the conversion process or the preparation of high-grade hot water heating principle, instead of banning the use of small coal-fired central heating boiler room heating, both heat stable and ensure that residents take into account the environmental benefits. Then developing actively new technologies provide thermal protection to clean up the city.This project uses the heat capacity of 362 MW absorption heat pump(with pre-condenser), the maximum recovery of 2 × 350 MW unit 2 × 170 t / h waste steam latent heat for urban heating. After the implementation of the project, the actual heating capacity of Hohhot Thermal Power Plant 2 × 350 MW units increased from the existing 420 MW to 631 MW, 7 million square meters by the heating area expanded to 12.62 million square meters. According to plant more than 90% of the boiler efficiency, is estimated for two 350 MW supercritical air-cooled heat exhaust steam heating unit were recovered after a comprehensive renovation, the annual savings of 13.62 tons of standard coal, and achieved considerable economic benefits for the power plant.
