In recent years,the Smart Grid is continuously expanding.The growing popularity of smart grid and the rising voltage grade call for higher real-time security of high-voltage transmission lines. And the real-time, stability and safety of high voltage transmission line is put forward higher requirements.The operation of the high voltage transmission line is normal, the circuit parameters are accurate need to be able to get timely feedback.Transmission line on on-line monitoring device for monitoring scope is more and more widely, a wider range of monitoring to monitor equipment power supply is put forward higher request.Therefore, the paper studied the extraction through the insulated ground wire can approach.Paper used for the analysis of the current online monitoring of different power supply mode and its characteristic, through summarizing the existing deficiency of different power supply mode, explore from the high voltage transmission line insulation on the ground, can come to smoke for online testing equipment power technology.Firstly theoretical feasibility of extracting energy from the overhead ground wires is provided by calculating inductive voltage and induced current in overhead ground wires of 110 kV, 220 kV and 500 kV.
