For wind power generation system, the condition monitoring is an important basis for the daily operation and maintenance of the wind turbine, and its application in the field of power industry is increasing, and the potential is inevitable. Condition Monitoring System(CMS) of wind turbine generator, which could master the running state of the wind turbine generator, improve the reliability of the unit, reduce the number of unplanned shutdown. To discover and diagnose faults to prevent the expansion of the fault caused by accidents and losses. Help to prevent unexpected emergency shutdown and optimize the maintenance strategy to reduce the cost of enterprise operation and maintenance.Wind farm remote geographical location, harsh climatic conditions and wind turbine high cost of spare parts and other factors, which promote fan manufacturers and wind farm owners started the promotion and use of the CMS. Recently the CMS in the wind power industry has been rapid development. However, the rapid application and development of CMS in the wind power industry, there are many difficulties, doubts and new problems, so that the application of CMS is always accompanied by controversy questioning and technical uncertainty. Under this background, the research on the technology of the predictive maintenance system for the wind turbine generator unit is carried out.(1)In this paper, the transmission chain of wind turbine fault are analyzed,especially for the typical bearing and gear vibration mechanism of transmission chain and failure were studied.(2)Independent development of an online and a portable wind power unit monitoring system, including hardware data acquisition circuit, data monitoring software and the fault data for the diagnosis of off-line software.(3)This paper used a demodulated method that based on ensemble empirical mode decomposition(EEMD) and Teager energy operator, through extracting instantaneous frequency and amplitude in envelope form which contain the most fault information, the result was verified the availability and the practicability of the method.(4)The developed system were installed test run in Inner Mongolia and Baiyunebo province yellow ongon two wind farm.
