In recent years, the rapid growth of car number is the reason why a series of problems happen about traffic congestion. And now, the usual traffic control mode are fixed, the induction control and the adaptive control. Due to the traffic flow of the complex and changeable characteristics, the three control methods are not very good at controlling the traffic flow. Among them, the induction control as a simple and efficient control method is widely used in Road intersection signal phase switching. However, the existing induction control are extended through the green strategy to release the queue of vehicles, and subsequently to the problem is the green time waste, resulting in the intersection delay of vehicles.In order to solve the problem of green waste, this paper proposes a control strategy based on electronic license plate induction, by setting the roadside unit collection of traffic flow parameters on the road, and traffic flow according to the analysis of the collected data, design a control strategy of vehicle exhaust and share rate of team based detection interval. According to the analysis of traffic flow characteristics, the electronic license plate induction control strategy is analyzed and studied. At first, the single intersection was designed by the share and the detection interval queue length control strategy based on induction; secondly, through the analysis of traffic flow characteristics of two adjacent intersections, road connecting the two mainly in the interval intersection were the research target in a certain. Under the condition, electronic license plate induction control strategy was designed in order to reduce the impact on the upstream intersection downstream of the intersect ion as the foundation, at the same time to avoid the overflow queue to improve traffic efficiency of the intersection.Finally, the VISSIM traffic simulation software to realize the design of electronic license plate induction control system based on and with the traditional control mode do corresponding comparison. Results show that the electronic license plate induction control system of vehicle delay is superior to the traditional control mode in the critical saturated or under-saturated conditions.
