Twenty-first century is the century of quality.The primary task of the enterprise is to guarantee the quality of their products and service if the enterprise wants to survive in the market competition all time.As the saying goes,to strike on iron,one must stay strong,this just confirms the importance of quality.Throughout the domestic and foreign well-known companies,they regard quality as life in business managements.The survival and development of the company depends on quality,as the company quality policy saying “live and die together for Bo Hai Company's quality”,we must improve and pay attention to the product quality forever.We're not just talking about it,must always keep in mind,and must be put into action.Excellent quality cannot be separated from the excellent quality management.Excellent quality management cannot be separated from real,excellent statistical data.Real good statistics are not forged,it is the true reflection of the process.In piston machining,the traditional process control methods generally rely on manual inspection for self inspection,On-Site Inspection and special inspection.The inspector accordingly write out quality inspection report for quality management personnel to carry out statistical analysis,the results of the analysis are often stable and controlled,but the quality problems still exist."Good report,bad quality" is a phenomenon that has existed for a long time,and can't be changed.One of the items in this paper is to solve the problem of "good report,bad quality".First,this paper introduces the development process and current situation of domestic and international quality management,the practical significance of implementing statistical process control(SPC)in enterprises,as well as the current situation of China's piston manufacturing industry.Secondly,to study the piston as an example,the knowledge of statistical process control is studied from the perspective of theory.Thirdly,the control method of the quality characteristics of the piston in the piston manufacturing industry at this stage is analyzed in detail,and the problem of using this method is studied.Fourthly,using the SPC software provided by the professional company,this paper discusses the specific application of the functional modules of the software in the piston automatic SPC system.At last,according to the design requirements,a case study of the fine boring pin hole process,with the control chart software,the automatic alarm and alarm rule,the event cause,and the measure database were set up.At the same time,according to the experiment,set the temperature compensation coefficient,so as to adjust the measurement value caused by temperature difference.By researching on application of statistical process control in piston machining,eliminated the quality defects of the piston in the bud,improved the stability of the statistical process,and reduced complaints of customers,improved satisfaction of users.In summary,the research of this paper has achieved the ideal effect,the research is very successful.
