With the high-speed development of the world economy, the competitions of industry become more and more intense. The quality of products has become a common concern all over the world and a highlighted problem of economy construction in the modern society. This thesis is based on the research of piston measuring and statistical process control system, which is developed jointly by some certain Group Company and College of Electromechanical Engineering.The technical background and development status of quality control and SPC are introduced in this thesis. This subject is on the base of current problems in our country. After describing the hardware structure of the detection system and the performance testing, this thesis puts emphasis on introducing the realization process of the whole system. In the phase of system analysis, this thesis introduces users' demand analysis and creates the data flow. In the phase of system implementation, this thesis listed the key techniques (DLL, ADO) and then introduced how to gather data automatically, how to carry through quality control using the measured data and then to draw control chart, bar chart and to calculate process ability exponent. The system has the many functions, such as exception alert, analysis of expert system, data report and calculation of piston quality parameters. The thesis also gives an example of system application and then carries through the error Analysis based on the example. At last, this thesis makes summarization and describes the next work.
