Main oil pump(MOP)which is an essential equipment of steam turbine sets in thermal power plants and nuclear power plants,is decisive to the safety operation of steam turbine sets.The corollaries MOP of large-scale steam turbine sets made in China was mainly imported.Recently,the corollaries MOP of 50Hz large-scale steam turbine sets had been totally designed and manufactured in domenstic.With the globalization acceleration,China has attended the competition of generating equipments in international market.Hence the research of corollaries MOP of 60Hz large-scale steam turbine sets are in need.Due to the rotational velocity of MOP of 60Hz large-scale steam turbine sets is up to 3600r/min,the requirements of fluid dynamic parameters are very high.To meet the requirements of stability,the curves of p-Q should keep flat when the flow rate is low than design flow rate.Key technologies in both the fluid dynamic design and the structure safety need to be tackled.This paper which considers the needs of both Sichuan Province Key Science&Technological Project(Grant No.2008GZ0072)and the research project of Dongfang Steam Turbine Co.Ltd,aims to research the key technologies of fluid dynamic design and optimization of the corollaries MOP of 60Hz 660MW steam turbine sets of Dongfang Steam Turbine Co.Ltd.According to the requirements of design parameters and performance of the corollaries MOP of 60Hz 660MW steam turbine sets,traditional design methods are firstly adopted to calculation the geometry size of flow passage.Based on one-dimensional flow theory,the axial plane flow is calculated and the conformal change blade is traced,and the preliminary design of runner is fulfilled.Area ratio method is employed to design the volute flow passage.To predict the energy characteristics and the cavitation performance of the flow passage of preliminarily designed MOP,according to the real operation,numerical simulation of multi flows of multi working conditions are employed.To figure out the deficit of the preliminary design and to confirm the optimization case,the flow field of typical working conditions is analyzed.Through reverse design,the S1 stream surface is obtained.The geometry of the flow blade type of S1 is modified interactively,and new blade is generated according to the flow blade type,Numerical simulation of multiphase flows of multi operating are conducted again.According to the simulation results,it is decided that whether the design is well qualified,and the optimization is conducted.If optimization should be conducted,the interactive process will be repeated until the design is well qualified.As a matter of what the hydro dynamic optimization of the corollaries MOP of 60Hz 660MW steam turbine sets are finally fulfilled.The research method employed in the paper has been successfully applied into the real project of the corollaries MOP of 60Hz 660MW steam turbine sets of Dongfang Steam Turbine Co.Ltd.It could serve as a technical basis for the independent development and innovation of the corollaries MOP of 60Hz 660MW steam turbine sets of Dongfang Steam Turbine Co.Ltd.It also could provide a reference to the design and optimization of centrifugal pumps of high rotational velocity,large flow rate,high one-stage head.
