Power system voltage and frequency stability is the premise and the key to ensure the safe and stable operation of power grid. in the power system voltage and frequency unstable operation in long-term is bound to harm the related equipment in the system. There is a rare unstable operating conditions of voltage and frequency in Chinese power grid, but in North Korea power grid of TaiPingWan power station, such case often occurs, therefore, It must be analysed and taken preventive action, to be avoid a possible hazard to the equipment.This paper adopted the finite element method to set up the generator transient finite element mathematical model, this method is able to consider the effect of generator iron core saturation and other nonlinear factors in the case of frequency, voltage rated value deviated from the more. And discussed from two aspects of theoretical calculation and actual effect to the relational equipment under various operating conditions and faults in North Korea power grid of TaiPingWan power station,. Based on the calculation and analysis above,the paper put forward the configuration and setting of generator r protection scheme, such as over fluxing protection, low frequency protection, generator fluxing circuit overload protection, and so on. In order to ensure the safe and stable operation of the unit and related equipment to provide technical support, the paper proposed to add the automatic safety device and targeted testing, maintenance suggestions.Through the simulation of mathematical model of generator transient finite element calculation, there is a suggestion that we must solve the local overheating, the generator internal overheating and start running, critical speed, mechanical properties, in order to guarantee and improve the design according to the normal operation and output unit normal life, when the generator operating in ultra low voltage, low frequency under the condition of long-term.
