There is centuries-old history about wooden buildings in China, and now it is still a main architectural style. Along with the social development, the demand of wood construction becomes large, and the modern wood structure has broad prospect in our country. Fire is one of the most dangerous disasters to damage the buildings, the fire resistance of wood structure is the key point of research due to the combustible ability. In order to study the interaction process between fire development and structure performance, researchers devote themselves to discover the mechanism including fire development, wood charring mechanism and structure analysis.The existing simulation method is difficult to realize the interactive process,the researchers usually study the fire and structure process in two separate ways. This paper synthesizes many factors in the simulation process and gives birth to the coupling simulation method under natural fires, and set out an integrated system to simulate the interaction process between fire development and structure analysis. Main contentscould be divided into the following several-parts:(1)This paper encoded a user-defined subroutine UMAT based on the anisotropic ability of wood, and also studied the wood charring mechanism, a charring model formula is established based on the Spearpoint one-dimensional charring formula.(2)The muliti-parameter coupling model is proposed in this paper to matain the data relationship among the fire load, effective-section after degradation, finite element analysis results. It offers a complete data set to connect the multiple data and reflect the physical damage meaning of wood structure in fire development.(3)The multi-parameter coupling simulation framework is put forward to reflect the problems incluing the influence of fire damage on the wood structure, damage on it own and the effect of structure damage to the fire development.(4)Based on the multi-parameter coupling model and framework, this paper programmed the simulation system in Python, which integrated the FDS and ABAQUS softwares. Two computation modules are founded to calculate the charring rate and monitor the structure performace. This system offers the data analysis module to generate the modeling files and realize the data visualization function. It helps users to analysis the damage process of post-beam timber frame under natural fire.(5)Using the system, three post-beam timber frames are simulated to study the effects of walls and materials during the damge process under natural fire.
