Design And Implementation Of Virtual Restoration On Yi Nationality Dwellings In Panxi Area

There are 34 minorities distributing in Sishuan Panxi area, while the minorities with the most national characteristics and large minorities communities are Yi, Tibetan, Lisu and so on. Because of the geographical location of settlementand the differences in height and altitude, the minority nationalities gradually build the dwellings with the unique style of their own nationality in the long-life practice, these dwellings have become a typical representative of the local minorities residential buildings and have a relatively high social value, artistic value and research value. However, with the accelerated process of urbanization, the existing minorities residential buildings and building groups are being damaged and destroyed to varying degrees, the already survived dwellings of Yi nationality fell down under the bulldozer, the modern civilization is unwittingly accelerating the destruction of the traditional folk ecological culture. Therefore, it is urgent to rescue protection of representative Yi nationality dwellings in Panxi area.The purpose of this study is to use the related technologies of digital virtual restoration to establish a set of virtual restoring system for Yi residential buildings in Panxi area through modeling, optimization model, scene-driven, secondary development of virtual reality software system, to take virtual restoring research on architectural style, architectural structure, buildings & national culture and customs of Yi nationality in Panxi, ultimately to realize the protection and inheritance of Yi nationality residential buildings substance and culture and to provide a reference for the modern planning and reconstruction of future residential buildings in Panxi area, while providing a related platform for the digital interactive entertainment experience of residential buildings.
