The groundwater in Jing Yang area is mostly brackish and poor quality, and the total dissolved solid(TDS), total hardness, fluoride and sulfates are all unqualified for Drinking Water Sanitary Standard. The residents in Jing Yang count have been drinking the brackish and high fluoride water for a long time, which has severely impact their health. The spring groups in Zhang Jia Mountain were located at 30 km northwest away from the mountain pass, where Jing River flows out.The spring groups are in the well developed geological fault and crack region, there are a lot springs of high quality and huge reserves. In order to solve the poor domestic water quality problem, the local Government have made the decision to put the spring groups water supplying project into implementation, and made the high quality spring water into good civil use.The spring groups water supplying project consisted of spring water collection, pretreatment part and water transmission pipeline part. It was aim at studying and designing the spring groups' water collection, pretreatment and transmission system, and put forward a safe, just, highly reliable and more economic design solution in this dissertation. It has analyzed the existing measurement results of spring groups' water flow, and ascertained the project collection scale to be 80,000 cubic meter per day. It has put forward the different spring collecting chamber schemes, which are based on the spring type(ascending or descending), quality and location.Considering the restriction of water conservancy area, the project scheme need to meet the engineering requirements and have no damage to water conservancy relics. The spring chamber should be below present ground level and the collecting pipe should be combined with existing pedestrian roads. The construction style should meet the cultural-landscape requirement of local scenic zone and make a harmonious coexistence with native relic, nature and culture. The scheme also rational utilize the existing hydraulic facilities(sand funnel in Jing Hui Cannal) by laying the pretreatment structure over sand funnel, so the funnel could functioned as clean water basin. This measure could reduce building land and investment.
