Xi'an is located in the Guanzhong Plain of Shaanxi River Basin in Weihe, the capital of Shaanxi Province, it belongs to the northern cold areas, has long winter, dry and cold climate, heating period of 120 days, the use of cogeneration heating system, boiler room,distributed source heat pump, boiler, electric heating and other heating form. The current supply of heat area coverage has reached 76.09%, the total heating area of central heating boiler room 57.54%; disperse the total heating area of 32.25%; the boiler total heating area of 4.65%. Other heating modes(such as heat pump technology,electric heating) accounted for 5.56% of the total heating area.On the basis of discussing the development status of domestic and international heating industry, this paper mainly discusses the present situation of heating system in Xi'an,and analyzes the problems in Xi'an, and analyzes the existing problems in Xi'an heating system, and discusses the energy saving, environmental protection and high efficiency.This paper analyzes the problems of energy consumption in heating system, draw lessons from domestic and international success. In the situation of energy saving and emission reduction, the paper discusses the development direction of urban heating and energy saving measures, especially the development and utilization of new energy sources, such as geothermal energy, ground source heat pump, sewage source heat pump,solar energy and so on.
