Airborne electrical power system is responsible for transporting power to other load systems on the aircraft, which is very important. Based on the A320 airborne electronic system fault diagnosis simulator of the Institute of Data Analysis, aircraft electrical power system is researched. As for the disadvantage and shortcoming of the former fault simulation model of power system, a novel functional model is proposed to build the electrical power distributing network model and load management model, so that it can realize the operation, test and trouble shooting of the electrical power system and other load systems, and also satisfy the need of dynamic display and power supply of electrical power system for the dynamic change of system parameter.Based on the detail analysis of electrical power system’s principle, according to the problems of structure complexity, various faults and busbars and imperfect load management of the power system, a novel functional model combined modularity and standardization approach with fault injection method is proposed based on the related current models. First, basic theory of modeling is introduced, transmission rules are defined, and relation matrix, algorithms of how the functional representation can handle faults are given. Second, build the total simulation model and distributing network model, analyze the power source capacity and electrical load of A320 airplane and build load management model. At last, do the simulation test to verify the model and analyze the simulation result.Simulation results show that model of distributing network and load management can realize the load’s automatic management include loading and unloading of second load under different electrical configuration and fault disturbance, and can reflect the impacts of fault disturbance in real time.
