The engine as the core components of aircraft is the most basic protection for flight safety, so, the engine maintenance and training is particularly meticulous and strict. Engine ground test is high-level aircraft maintenance engineering for testing the engine status and trouble shooting. This paper seeks to test the engine of a typical functional requirement and develope a set of functional simulation software.At first, in the detailed analysis of the CFM56-3 engine performance characteristics, based on the process of extracting test numerical simulation model of this type of engine included in the state the amount of the numerical simulation model to further define the structure, then the use of BP neural network tool to complete the parameters identification, finally a accurate is established;Secondly, look at the whole process of the engine test and engine characteristics of each state of the relationship between parameters, establishing engine ground test state model. And then the numerical simulation model and engine ground test state model have been synthesized, obtaining CFM56-3 engines' ground test model.Thirdly, in order to enrich the system function, conducting a preliminary study for the faults and failures that may arise during the engine test, forming a CFM56-3 engine ground test failure effect model.Finally, on the base of the results of the study, using LabVIEW graphical programming language for software development to achieve some features of the engine test, and the use of database technology to test the process of recording and analysis.
