Pulsed power technology has been widely applied in the domains of national defence, scientific research and high fresh techniques, moreover, now it is also applied in the civil and industrial departments, with their wide prospects for the development and application, such as in the field of energy, environmental science, medical and bio-engineering. Capacitive pulsed power system includes high voltage charging power supply, intermediate energy storage capacitors, pulse forming network three parts. High voltage charging power supply is the first link of capacitive pulsed power system, and pulse forming network is to add stored energy in the form of electricity with large pulse current to the load.This paper analyzes three high voltage capacitor charging, finally, selecting two-transistor forward converter as the main circuit topology of high voltage capacitor charging power supply. Because it has many superior characteristics, such as low stress of switch voltage, and high reliability. Then it analyses working principle of two-transistor forward converter in detail, and each work process is given the equivalent circuit. It also deduces the current expression of transformer primary windings, secondary windings and excitation windings. Since the peak current of charging capacitor early is too large and the charging current should be limited, the peak current control method is adopted. In order to let transformer core reset reliably, the method of limiting pulse width of switch conduction is adopted. And the paper analyses circuit control process and features. The control strategy proves to be effective by Simulink simulation.Then, the paper analyzes the pulse forming network. When the high voltage charging power supply completes the charging process, capacitor discharges to the load. By Simulink simulation of the discharge circuit, we find that the discharge current is large, and the discharge time is short. This paper mainly studies the interference of strong pulsed magnetic field which produced by the pulse reactor. The 3D solid model and simulation of pulsed reactor are given by using the finite element analysis software Ansoft Maxwell, which proves the characteristics and advantage of the new structure of pulse forming network(coaxial configuration).Finally, a experimental prototype is proposed. The main circuits of the experimental apparatus are introduced and analyzed.The theoretical analysis and the proposed control method are experimentally confirmed.
