With the promotion of the information technology, people's way of transportation is also in non-stop progress, however, with the increase number of people owning private car, the traffic management has become outdated, the development of intelligent transportation system has become a general trend, a important aspect of intelligent transportation system is to detect parking spaces. Obtaining the distribution of the remaining parking spaces area are important basis of parking management and diversion which can effectively ease the traffic pressure.Current methods for the sensor-based parking detection are mostly single node,those methods are not well satisfyparking detection in the intelligent transportation systems in such complex situations.In view of the traditional vehicle detection system, there is so many disadvantages,Such as the complex construction, the short lifetime of the system, the high cost of installation and later maintenance, as well as the low accuracy of traditional method for vehicle detection with sensors. This paper comes up with a new multi-sensor model of wireless vehicle detection system. The system mainly uses various sensors with their respective advantages, using the wireless network to realize the data reliable transmission. The system have high accuracy with the advantage of avoiding the environmental impact efficiently.This paper mainly focuses on the fusion parking space detection algorithm with two sensors, magnetic and ultrasonic, explaining the software implementation for the overall structure and the various parts, and the data communication protocol in each part in detailFinally, we have done a lot of field testing under actual parking situations. The final test results show that the dual sensor technology has not only high accuracy and high stability, but also low power consumption, high detection efficiency. |
