Along with rapid growth of private car occupancy in recent years,parking has become a big problem for most of the car owners and a restricting factor for the development of the city.An effective solution to parking problem will alleviate urban traffic pressure and accelerate the development of the city.Parking detection system which utilize sensing,data processing and communication technology can accurately and quickly access to parking status information.Therefore,it can increase the utilization rate of parking spaces and alleviate the parking pressure effectively.However,the traditional parking detection system has the disadvantages of high cost,high power consumption,high difficulty in installation,and it can be easily affected by external environment.With the rapid development of magnetic sensor and wireless sensor network technology,introducing them to the parking detection system will be an effective way to solve the disadvantages of traditional parking detection system,and it has great market application value.In this paper,parking detection system based on GMR sensor and wireless sensor network is designed in the view of the practical application environment and requirements of parking detection system.The system uses highly sensitive two axis GMR sensor SAS022-1 and uniaxial VA100F3 to collect geomagnetic data,then this data is processed by the parking space detection algorithm to give the parking status information.Furthermore,the Zig Bee protocol is adopted to build the wireless sensor network which will realize the transmission of parking status information efficiently in real-time.Meanwhile,gateway is applied to send the parking information from the Zig Bee wireless sensor network to the Ethernet,and eventually the parking information display on the host computer.Specifically,the main research content of this paper includes three aspects.First of all,this paper introduces the research background and development status of parking detection system,and analyzes the significance of this topic compared with the traditional parking detection system.On the bias of the background research,the working principle of the parking detection system is studied and the overall architecture of the system is put forward.Then,we focus on the principle and application of magnetic sensor and wireless sensor network.Secondly,the system is designed and implemented in detail from hardware and software.The hardware part mainly involves the design of three hardware devices,including detection node,coordinator and router.In other words,it contains the selection of electronic components,the design of circuit schematic,design anddebugging of PCB board.The software part mainly involves the construction of the Zig Bee wireless sensor network,the filtering processing of signal,the research of parking detection algorithm and the realization of the host computer.Finally,the system designed in this paper is tested and analyzed.By testing the system with many different methods,it collect a large number of data of the geomagnetic field during the process of vehicle entering and leaving the parking space.By analyzing those data and combining them with the parking detection algorithm,reasonable parameters of the system can be set.Finally,we test the system in the actual application scene and the results show that the accuracy of the system is above 96% which can meet the needs of the actual application.
