The voltage quality concerns the stable operation of power grids and the safety of the power system. It also has great effect on people’s life so that it is necessary to monitor the voltage quality. It helps a lot for us to know about the problem that occurs in the power system and try to solve the problem.In this way, the loss that is caused by voltage quality can be avoided.It introduces the significance of researching the voltage monitoring device. It also studies the algorithm of voltage monitoring by comparing all kinds of the harmonic analysis methods and elaborating the Fast Fourier Transformation. At last, the index of the voltage monitoring device is characterized.First of all, it chooses MQX through comparing different kinds of embedded operating system which are popular. It studies MQX micro-kernel structure and kernel management function. It also analyzes FIFO scheduling policy, RR scheduling policy and the specified task queue of MQX. The soft architect and code structure are also analyzed,In addition, it completes the basic hardware design and software design based on the embedded operating system MQX. By designing data acquisition module circuit, Flexbus interface circuit, SPI Flash circuit, UART communication circuit and reset circuit, the designing of the hardware is completed. Also, by designing the data sampling and calculation, data statistics and storage, GPRS communication, Ethernet communication and the USB equipment management module, the designing of the software is completed.At last, it tests and analyzes the function of voltage monitoring device by using Ethernet commissioning tools. It turns out that the device can keep the record of historical data and statistical data of voltage for two months, which support the analysis of voltage quality.
