Signalized Intersection Optimal Speed Advisory In Connected Vehicle Environment

With the development of global economy, the number of the vehicle is keeping increasing, fuel consumption of the vehicle is the main factor of the world's energy consumption. Petroleum is non-renewable resources, with the continuous decrease of global Petroleum reserves, fuel consumption of the vehicle become more and more important for the vehicle development, and fuel consumption caused by agency change of the speed and idling when vehicle pass the intersection is an important source. The economic rising of china, cause explosive increasing of the number of the vehicle in our country. Studying the fuel consumption of the vehicle when passing the intersection, it is significance for our country's energy consumption and environmental pollution.An intersection assistance system based vehicle-network is designed in this paper, when a single vehicle approach the intersection, it will get the signal phase and timing information, then the vehicle can plan its speed profile, avoid agency change of the speed or idling when vehicle pass the intersection, that will achieve the purpose of reducing fuel consumption. By drawing the Map of the fuel consumption, we can calculate the fuel consumption of every speed profile, so we will find out the optimum speed profile of fuel consumption. The research shows that the algorithm is great significance for reducing fuel consumption.
