Maintenance training is an important part of the aviation maintenance engineering, and is an important condition to ensure the quality of the aircraft maintenance. The performance monitoring and fault isolation of the whole equipment can be performed by the airborne BITE(Built-in test equipment) system, which can help the maintenance personnel to make a quick fault locating and troubleshooting by the conclusion of the fault information, the efficiency and accuracy of the equipment fault diagnosis can be improved greatly. Accurately simulating of airborne BITE function has a critical significance for maintenance training device to satisfy the requirements of performing operation, testing and internal logic diagnosing within BITE system, as well the training of fault isolation capabilities for the maintenance personnel.Based on summarizing simulation research of BITE systems, according to the problems of various faults and operation modes, complex hierarchical relationships, the function model of BITE was established for AIRBUS 320 series aircraft. The fault detection model and fault isolation model are proposed to realize the internal diagnostic logic of airborne BITE simulation model. The main works are as follows:Firstly, the main airborne BITE system-related theses and the manual such as Trouble Shooting Manual(TSM), Aircraft Maintenance Manual(AMM), Aircraft Schematics Manual(ASM) and Aircraft Wiring Manual(AWM) are deeply researched, the basic theory and main structure of BITE system are fully comprehended. Modeling demands for aviation maintenance training are analyzed, the mode and work links of BITE are abstracted and simplified, and the principles of BITE modeling are given.Secondly, the structure of function model is built and the procedures of modeling are given based on modeling analysis. The function model is built based on the logical expression between the internal modules. The input-output relationship of the function model is analyzed, the input signals of the model are classified and defined emphatically.Next, the multi-signal flow graph model of component is established based on the manual, reasoning and analysis method is given. The internal fault detection model and fault isolation model are built based on the multi-signal flow graph model, which provide the data source for the function model. The logical operation of the function model is realized.Finally, the internal circuit model of the fault detection is designed and implemented, then by applying the proposed modeling approach to the airborne high frequency transceivers, the efficiency and reasonability of this method are verified.
