With the progress of aviation technology, the integration of the aircraft systems is more complex. While avionics have play an important role in the aircraft. And their maintenance is a very important work for the aircraft operation. It relies on the skill of avionics maintenance personnel. Therefore, it is of great significance to build the avionic component simulation model(ACSM) and its auxiliary device for their training. This paper proposes a normalized ACSM suitable for the maintenance tasks and multi-training modes. It can also solve the problem of low reusability within the existing component models. The main results are as follows:1) The overall framework is designed for the ACSM with multi-training modes driven by maintenance tasks. Firstly, on the basis of avionic components induced and classified, a semantic network is described to clearly express their relationship. Secondly, the maintenance tasks are analyzed and classified by the content of the maintenance work. Thirdly, two training modes are condensed according to the actual requirements of airlines and civil aviation colleges for maintenance training.2) The function model based on Simulation Component Model(SCM) is built. It comprises an ontology, some interfaces and operation rules. The interfaces include an I/O one,a control one and a transform task one. The I/O signals are classified based on the sum of avionic component's characteristics and functions. A set of operation rules are defined to constrain I/O signals and return values from control functions. The model can satisfy the maintenance tasks included operation, test and troubleshooting.3) The description for removal and installation behavior is furthermore researched.They can be expressed with geometric model and behavior model.Finally, the feasibility of the method is experienced on the aircraft maintenance simulator by selecting a maintenance process of the flight augmentation computer(FAC).
