Compared with the traditional oil-gas type, the magnetorheological damper has greatly improved its reaction time and stability and realized continuous adjustable damping force due to the special properties of MRF. Different types of magnetic circuit structure of magnetorheological dampers are designed by international scholars and gradually become a hot research topic in the field of vibration control.A comprehensive transverse contrast research is needed for the different forms of magnetic circuit structure of magnetorheological dampers, classification and summary of the different types of magnetic circuit structure of magnetorheological dampers are completed and the respective advantages and disadvantages are pointed out. Using ANSYS simulation software, modeling and simulation are done for single, double and triple traditional shear valve type magnetic circuit structures and the full channel magnetic circuit structures. Transverse comparative study of different magnetic circuit structures is finished under the same size. The better magnetic circuit structures and selection and design suggestions are given based on the same target parameter.Magnetorheological dampers which applied to aircraft landing gear should meet the structure size and mechanics requirement of the aircraft landing gear, the optimization design process study of magnetorheological damper based on aircraft landing gear is designed refer to traditional oil-gas shock absorber design process. The analysis of working condition of magnetorheological damper, the determination and calculation of target parameters, the design of main structure parameters of shock absorber, the selection of internal magnetic circuit structure and the design of magnetic circuit structure parameters are completed. A set of outline of the design process of magnetorheological damper is given.In order to improve the efficiency of the design of magnetorheological damper, the design process of the magnetorheological damper is simplified and finished according to the design steps of the magnetorheological damper, a concise and convenient magnetorheological damper aided design software is completed through Visual Studio software.
