The life-limited part is an important factor of the safe operation of the engine.The life-limited parts airworthiness technique is one of the key technical issues of high bypass ratio turbofan engine. The test verification of China's first civil high bypass ratio turbofan engine is nearing completion, so the research of life-limited parts airworthiness technique is significative. This paper will learn the engine lifelimited parts airworthiness certification technology, give the key steps in the process of determining limited life. Combined with the test failure data it will give s safe life prediction method.In the airworthiness certification, from the definition of limited-life parts, the determination, the cause of failure in a bid to find the engine life-limited parts given life process, give the key steps in the process, the development of load spectrum, lowcycle fatigue tests and safe life prediction, and then make detailed description, to provide management information for initial airworthiness and continuous airworthiness of engine life-limited parts.Combined with specific experimental data, the safe life prediction method was validated by using Minitab software to analyze failure processing, in line with a variety of models to compare, find relatively accurate failure model and analyze the security of the engine life-limited parts, it is very helpful for continuous airworthiness, initial airworthiness and aviation materials management.
