Contemporary visual system is one of key projects of China civil aviation, and provides the important guarantee for improving operation ability and flight safety of aircraft. As the display device of some contemporary visual systems, Head-up display(HUD) can put the flight data of aircraft onto the transparent display in front of the pilot to keep the pilot’s head up for acquiring flight information. When the aircraft carries the HUD, it is possible that the information will compete for pilot’s attention and failure of selective attention will happen.On the basis of SEEV model, a research on the attention allocation model of pilot is conducted for contemporary visual system, it may be summarized as follows:(1)Many classic attention allocation models of pilot are analyzed and the SEEV model is chosen to conduct a research on the attention allocation model of pilot for contemporary visual system. Referencing the Boeing737 NG landing standard operating guidelines by a certain airline and according to the flight procedures, the focus analysis of attention allocate of pilot in the final approach and landing phases is completed.(2)Simulation of visual system is conducted by GL studio software and VegaPrime software to provide the platform for eye movement experiment. GL studio software produces the HUD static model of contemporary visual system and Vega Prime software completes the contemporary visual system model. It provides an experimental platform for designing and completing the eye movement experiment after finishing the contemporary visual system simulation. Experimental data show that altimeter is easy to attract attention of participant compared with other instrument in cruise phase, and participant expresses more concern on airspeed indicator after the aircraft had sank to a certain height in the final approach and landing phases.(3)Improved ITTI model is used to quantify the Salience of all areas of interest on HUD,and the Expectancy and the Value of all areas of interest are quantified by the focus analysis of attention allocation. Pilot’s attention allocation model is fitted by combining with the data of eye movement experiment, and the validation results show that the model is reliable.
