Good power quality is the foundation that the guarantee of civil airport facilities and electrical power equipment safe, reliable and efficient operation. With the increasing number of airports and the expansion of the scale, reducing energy loss airport, taking the necessary measures for energy conservation is imperative for the airport, the harmonic control and reactive power compensation in the airport is the key to ensure power quality and energy conservation and emission reduction.First of all introduced the basic theory of harmonic and reactive power, and analyzes three categories supply system in the airport: characteristics with resistance load rectifier circuit?a filter capacitor rectifier circuit and AC voltage regulator circuit, the establishment of the harmonic model to analyze the power factor.Secondly, based on combining the characteristics of the airport power system harmonics, selecting the adaptive harmonic detection algorithm Empirical Mode Decomposition(EMD), aiming at the problem of the modal aliasing affecting the accuracy for its easy to produce in harmonic detection process, proposing a frequency constraints empirical mode decomposition algorithm, to frequency constraints on intrinsic mode function distribution of zeros and redesigned screening guidelines intrinsic mode functions,reducing the probability of aliasing modes, but also realized the power grid particular harmonic detection. The proposed method with the conventional EMD method, p-q harmonic detection method simulated and real data experiments, the proposed method can overcome the traditional empirical mode decomposition modal aliasing problems that exist,compared with p-q method in detection accuracy and the fundamental current phase the consistency is better than p-q method which can achieve harmonic detection and has better accuracy.Finally, in the SIMULINK environment to build a simulation environment of three-phase 5 H bridge cascade SVG, select the control strategy, analysis of the converter load in static reactive power compensation system response and dynamic response characteristics, respectively to the third resistive inductive load balanced and unbalancedgrid made compensation experiment, after compensation grid power quality has improved significantly.
