In recent years, with the rapid development of social economy, city car amounts increases sharply, which brings enormous fuel consumption and aggravates the energy shortage problem. Many strategies had been proposed such as enhancing vehicle technology, using alternative cleaner energy and taking eco-driving behavior to reduce vehicle fuel consumption. Among these strategies, eco-driving is widespread concerned for it's easy to implement and effects quickly. A large number of studies have been performed and many eco-driving methods have been proposed. However, studies related to the assessment of ecological of driver's behavior are lacking, which lead to the less concerns of public on eco-driving.This thesis collecting operation data of Beijing taxis on urban road. The data was divided according to traffic condition and driving mode, and fuel consumption characteristics under different conditions were analyzed. Elements that effects on vehicle's fuel consumption were determined and the energy-saving potential was calculated, which laid the foundation of construction of evaluation models.Second, based on the results of previous chapter, considering the actual driving situation, 6 driving events that related to vehicle fuel consumption including low-speed operating, cruising with higher speed, sharp accelerating, sharp decelerating, long time accelerating and long time idling were proposed. Driving events concerned eco-driving behavior evaluation model was established using methods including correlation analysis, principal component analysis and linear regression, with the frequencies of 6 driving events every 50 km as arguments and the fuel consumption per hundred kilometers as dependent variable. And strategies used to promoting eco-driving behavior that corresponded to 6 events was provided.Third, different from the driving events concerned eco-driving behavior evaluation model that considers driving events, this study analyzed optimal operation methods under different conditions that could lead to lower fuel consumption. And then the difference between drivers' behavior and optimal operation methods under different condition were calculated. Behavior optimization oriented eco-driving behavior evaluation method was proposed to help drivers promote their driving skills continuously.Finally, eco-driving monitoring, assessment and corrective platform was established. The closed-loop feedback formation of “operation – evaluation – feedback – correction- operation” was structured with the help of on-board data collection device and cellphone App, which help drivers develop an energy-efficient driving habits.This study proposed two types of eco-driving behavior evaluation models, which make up for the shortage in related fields. Meanwhile, the models could be applied to the real immediately so that support the generalization of eco-driving, which laid the foundation for the reduction of energy consumption in transportation field by promoting drivers' ' behavior.
