| The development of the automotive industry provides a great convenience forpeople to travel. But at the same time, traffic accidents have also become a deadlydisaster. According to incomplete statistics,1.2million people died in traffic accidentseach year in the worldwide. A survey from World Health Organization showed thattraffic accidents are the main reason for the death of young people aged10-25. In avariety of reasons that pose a threat to human life, traffic accidents ranked ninth.Casualties caused by such an incident and the threat to public safety can not beignored.The automotive security and defense system consists of two parts, passive safetydefense and active security defense. Passive safety research aims to minimize damageand injury incidents after the accident; active safety research aims to avoid accidentsthrough effective measures before the accident, which is likely to stop the intentioncausing the dangerous driving behavioral in a timely manner.In the research of vehicle safety, driver-vehicle system in real terms is themodel of human-machine interaction. To ensure the safety in the driving, we mustmaintain the coordination between the driver and the vehicle. Found in a study by alarge number of accident files, accidents are mostly caused due to driver factors,including the driver’s perception error, the error of the decision-making and drivingbehavior which does not meet the driver’s intentions. So in the research of vehiclesafety, we need to build a driver-vehicle-environment model, taking into account ofthe driver’s physiological characteristics, psychological limits, as well as behavioralcharacteristics. All kinds of factors should be collected to improve the car’s activesafety performance.This paper describes the basic idea of the active safety. And make a research ofthe aspects of traffic system (driver, vehicles and driving environment) from theperspective of the car’s active safety defense. Focus on the analysis of the importanceof driver in the automotive active safety defense system. Then the characteristic ofdriver behavior is analyzed from the three patterns of behavior. Through the researchof the generation and mechanism of the driving dangerous state, a model ofdriver-centric driver-vehicle-environment system is made on the basis of the original simple driver-vehicle model. And then propose solutions to related issues. Inthis paper the initial build of automotive active safety defense framework iscompleted, and a necessary premise for the realization of the vehicles safe andeffective control is provided.
