Polarization imaging can recognize the target, monitoring the hided target object, having a very important significance in either military or civilian use. However, sometimes for detecting distant objects only applying the polarization camera is not enough, it is necessary to place a telescope in front of the polarization camera, this system is called polarization telescope system, polarization telescope needs to keeping image quality while ensuring that the polarized state of incident light and outgoing light does not change. With assistance of telescope system, we can detect distant objects polarization state.According to the polarization telescope system technical requirements, this Article designed one type polarization telescope system based on polarization theory aside with the theory of optical lens design. In the design process, according to polarization state change caused by the refraction, reflection face, deduced three principles that should be obeyed when designing, then I use the ZEMAX macro function to extract incidence angle and refraction angle to calculate polarization, finally I use MATLAB program to evaluate performance.According to the theoretical analysis and specific requirements, this paper designed a telescope system to achieve polarization maintaining performance, and designed the objective lens and eyepiece design two subsystems respectively, calculate parameters of the initial structure, rational optimization, finally obtaining a complete system, each band's MTF average over 0.2 at 60 lp/mm, changes in the polarization state is less than 2%, all the indexes meet requirements. At the same time the system is simple, easy to manufacture.
