The domestic and foreign manufacturers tend to put C-EPS into use on Compact car with the increasingly fierce China's automotive market competition. C-EPS is mainly consisted of electrical system and mechanical parts. The C-EPS gearbox plays a role to make Motor and ECU to connected Worm wheel &Worm shaft assy, also to fix C-EPS to the CCB. The main failure mod of Al gearbox is pivot lug broken, it will cause C-EPS is break away from CCB and make automobile without steering function. So the key to make C-EPS stability is how to improve gearbox structure and function. The software simulation will give a support to improve the pivot lug structure of gearbox and its die casting process on CS35 platform.With the help of ABAQUA, MAGMASOFT and Minitab software, we finish this topic: Firstly, we optimize #5 mod as gearbox best structure by using ABAQUS's static stress and displacement analysis; Secondly, we select #V04 gating system as casting tooling through the MAGMASOFT casting simulation; And then, Minitab help us to define the best process parameters, which is 650? of melting temperature,210? of mould per-temperature and 3m/s of initial filling velocity; Finally, we kick off gearbox production and find it is successful to improve gearbox quality 20%. And those gearbox samples can withstand 10 kN crushing force and finish vibration test.This study shows us that the FEM structure analysis and casting simulation will help gearbox development. And we can use them to improve gearbox function and shorten time cycle and reduce that cost at the same time. It has a certain practical significance.
