Microwave rectification technology converts the microwave power into DC power, which is the key technology of microwave power transmission and acquisition. Based on the study of high power microwave rectification, three high power rectifiers with different structure are designed and experimentally verified in this thesis. Through reasonable circuit design and the use of appropriate rectifier diode, high RF-DC conversion efficiency is achieved. Based on the microwave rectification technology, a novel technique is proposed in this thesis to realize the wireless control of the transmission characteristics of the AFSS. This paper is summarized as follows:(1) Three high power rectifiers with different structure are designed and experimentally verified. These include a multistage rectifier, a diode array rectifier and a class F rectifier. The multistage rectifier uses the voltage-doubler structure to raise the DC output voltage, which is suitable for applications with high voltage requirements. The diode array rectifier features small size and simple structure. It uses four diodes to form an array, which can enhance its withstand-voltage ability without significantly increasing the series resistance. As a result, it is suitable for applications with high power and small size requirements. The class F rectifier uses the class F harmonic suppression network to suppress the harmonic components on the diode and reduce its loss so that the conversion efficiency can be further increased, which is suitable for applications with high efficiency requirements. The measured results agree well with the simulation results. Under the condition of 2.1GHz operation frequency, 30 d Bm input power, the three rectifiers mentioned above achieve the highest conversion efficiency of 58.7%, 64.5% and 65.2% respectively.(2) A novel wirelessly controlled AFSS is designed and experimentally verified. Microwave rectifiers are employed to convert wireless power into a DC output that controls the ON and OFF states of PIN diode switches. With the PIN diode switches controlling the transmission characteristic of the FSS, a wirelessly controlled AFSS is realized. The simulation and measurement results show that the wirelessly controlled AFSS can transmit 2.1GHz signals in the ON state and reflect it in the OFF state, which verifies the correctness and feasibility of the wireless control AFSS.
