The development of new energy sources is a problem that need to be solved urgently in all countries, and the solar power station would become an important research direction. Therefore microwave power transmission (MPT) has become a research focus today. Microwave signals have the advantages of high frequency, large capacity, long distance and low loss in transmission in the atmosphere. Then on the basis of predecessors’ research, this article designs a kind of microwave rectifier circuit, which could receive 5.8 GHz microwave signal and convert it to dc output.Microwave rectifier circuit consists of three major modules, the input low-pass filter, the Schottky diode and the output filter. First, according to the proposed design index, this article uses the step impedance method to design a low-pass filter to filter out the high frequency signal more than 5.8 GHz. After ptimization, the attenuation rate of filter reachs 25.939 dB at 11.6GHz and 17.899 dB at 17.4GHz. This article selects the HSMS-286B rectifier diode, analyses the diode, sets up the simulation model and completes the mpedance matching. The output filter has a quarter wavelength microstrip line and a 100pF capacitor. All modules are combined to carry out the whole simulation. Finally, the efficiency of rectification reaches 70.49% on 300 ohm load, when the input power is 11.3dBm.
