MRO is one of the key businesses to ensure the safety and punctualness of the airline operating. This includes the maintenance plan, aircraft material procurement,plant management and other major issues which are always with the large-scale,multi-objective, complex constraints and dynamic uncertainty, industry exclusive features seaworthiness and many other characteristics.In this paper, the usage of the MES real-time information processing technology in aircraft maintenance industry, the MRO-MES system, is presented. It solves the problems of the general aviation maintenance management methods which are leading to management information flows feedback seriously lagging behind, low efficiency of the data processing, and the small-scale scattered samples.Use the object-oriented techniques and UML to build the static structure models and the dynamic behavior of models, basing on a research of the aviation maintenance business processes and the analysis of the requirements.The system architecture with the Browser/Server structure in which the information is identified as the core is designed. The abstract model of the system is created to describe the interaction and the modes of the communications between the various sub-modules,A method of forecasting the purchase quantity of spare parts based on the reliability of measurement and a method of maintenance plan decision based on the orders arrangement form MRO-MES are proposed. Finally, the detail design of the spare parts and maintenance plan management subsystems are represented;meanwhile a WEB-based MRO-MES interface is introduced. The implementation of the MRO-MES can realize the smooth interaction of data between the various departments, and the small-scale experimental results show that based on the real data analysis, the predictive accuracy of spare parts procurement and the rationality of the maintenance plans have been effectively improved.MRO-MES system, in theory, solves the problem in the aviation maintenance business processes that between the top business decision-making and implementation processes underlying, some of the issues are arising out of touch. This paper explores and promotes the Chinese aviation maintenance enterprise informationization process.
