Since energy shortage is a bottleneck restricting economic development, rational use of energy is the common responsibility of mankind. With the development of the national economy, the construction area is increasing leading to the increasing demands of people on the indoor environment so as to building energy consumption. Statistics show that the current building energy consumption accounts for about 30% of China's total energy consumption. Public buildings because of its use of complex functions, resulting in energy consumption level has been high, and therefore a greater energy saving potential, has been the focus of energy efficiency in buildings.In this paper, we first collect some data and analyze the energy consumption of all kinds of public buildings in Wuhan city. Then we analyze the main factors that influence building energy consumption and building energy-saving potential and proposed appropriate public building energy-saving technology.A typical public building's architectural model is established based on De ST, simulating the building load and analyzing with the building design drawings and site survey results. Then we put forward three different options to transform the heating and cooling system and hot water system: Air-cooled heat pump systems, ground source heat pump system and Water-cooled screw unit plus boiler system. Using the TRNSYS to simulate the energy-saving measures, and analyze the energy consumption of different measures. Combining with transformation project and the initial investment Compared with the economy, feasibility and applicability of different measures. Finally, the simulation and the actual transformation results of the program were compared and objective evaluation of the actual energy-saving transformation effect.The purpose of this study is to analyze hospital buildings energy-saving potential and suitable for the transformation of technology to provide reference for carrying out the transformation in Wuhan hospital building energy efficiency work. The research methods and conclusions in this paper can provide reference for the energy saving transformation of similar public buildings.
