Aircrafts may encounter low-altitude wind shear during its taking-off and landing, which would badly influence the flight safety. In order to study the impact of wind shear on flight,it's significant to simulate flight in complex atmospheric disturbance. Through studying the flight dynamic model and the data exchange method of FlightGear, a data communication platform was established and high precision flight recurrences have been achieved. At the same time, a 2-D downburst model was established and wind field data was obtained to simulate flight in wind shear turbulence and conduct result analysis.Firstly, a 2-D low-altitude wind shear field has been built using the engineering simulation software Fluent with reference to the JAWS project. An independent two-dimensional wind field database was also established.Secondly, through the reserved UDP interface of Flight Gear, two-way data communication between Flight Gear and local host is established by creating a local host UDP server using C# coding. Thus, a platform which combines the data reception, data recording and data transmission functions is built and external control of FlightGear is therefore possible, which means flight scene could be reproduced given the needed flight control data. Moreover, the unstable sampling period of the FlightGear logging function would induce errors which increased with time. The error is eliminated through the local UDP server, the other end of the network. Meanwhile, the flight re-production function has been tested and verified, a high-precision flying scene reproduction has been basically achieved through continuous improvement. Moreover, in order to give a more intuitive display of flight parameters in order to show the pilots the current trends and changes in historical data, a secondary development of Flight Gear has been carried out using Nasal, the scripting language for FlightGear. By accessing the property tree and creating an xml format configuration file, dynamic display of flight parameters is realized and a simple GUI is designed for users' preferences. Finally, combined with the data communication platform and dynamic curve display built in this paper, low-level wind shear was added into FlightGear though real-time data communication. Effects of low-altitude wind shear to the aircraft flying can be studied and analyzed and applied to flight accidents recurrences, which is of a certain research value.
