This paper uses a new perspective to do overall analysis of the civil aircraft inertial navigation system error and finally builds the system error's mathematical model. this new perspective solves the problem that we can not use traditional methods which analyzes inertial navigation system error by analyzing system's structure. This model helps to evaluate civil aircraft inertial navigation system performance. The main work includes:First, the paper presents a new analytical perspective, which uses flight data and corresponding flight plan to calculate the civil aircraft inertial navigation system error data.By selecting the appropriate wavelet and using wavelet denoising method to filter the raw data, the calculation finally obtains the filtered error data.Secondly, the paper builds the mathematical model of inertial navigation system error.With the help of wavelet transform, this paper uses signal decomposition and reconstruction method to divide error data into approximate parts and detail parts by signal frequency. To get the model of system error, this paper builds each part's corresponding autoregressive moving average model and puts all the parts' model together.Thirdly, by the comparison of error model and actual flight data, the result proves that this mathematical model of inertial navigation system data can describe civil aircraft inertial navigation system error.
