Urban water supply and urban water supply pipe network security operation and management of the water supply industry is the key to the healthy and orderly development. Some medium and small urban water supply network because there is no systematic design and planning, there is a pipe network layout is unreasonable, water management lags behind, a lack of a unified network management and scheduling problems. To this end, with the status of professional simulation software to build the operating conditions hydraulic model of urban water supply pipe network, urban water supply pipe network simulation, and optimized in order to improve urban water management and water security, it is of great significance. Taking an example of a typical small city, with EPANET software as a tool for modeling parameters through field testing, established based on Microsoft Excel VBA support basic parameters database, prepared the main water supply network model parameters interactive platform window software, the status quo of urban water supply pipe network operating conditions were simulated, the following conclusions:(1) According to the nature of water to urban water users into living, administrative services, business services, administrative and industrial water five major categories, select all kinds of water users in the water of a typical user variation found by curve fitting 5 categories of water users variation curve; through on-site real survey, select cities in different pipes, pipe diameter and age, three-point manometry to study the city's main pipe resistance coefficient, draw plastic composite pipe, plating pipe resistance coefficient zinc steel, cast iron pipes and cement pipes were 118.0,112.2,89.3 and 58.8, combining similar cast iron pipe water supply pipe resistance coefficient measured value of the city, come to the water supply network main pipe(iron pipe) pipe resistance coefficient and embedded life relationship is: y = 129.43e(-0.00861x), urban water supply pipe network data model provides the basis for support.(2) Through VBA programming, coding of the "water supply network model parameters interactive platform" computer program code, data can be converted to Microsoft Excel database to achieve water supply network node elevation, water demand node and Pipe length, diameter, piping resistance coefficient storage and other basic data, Excel file format, edit, bulk edit, and docking with the EPANET network simulation software to improve the efficiency of network modeling software EPANET hydraulic model.(3) Import data network based data formatting and simulation software, through the pipe network continuity equation, pressure drop calculation equation and the energy equation, the establishment of urban water distribution network hydraulic model.(4) The hydraulic model simulation analysis of a parity of status of urban water supply pipe network conditions, unfavorable analysis to find the presence of the pipe section 7 network operation, the unit head loss exceeds 10 m / km, higher energy consumption. Proposed increase in diameter, and increased diameter pipeline into the ring with the ring-bound pipeline pipe network transformation of three different programs, rehabilitation programs and updates to EPANET model, comparative analysis of the transformation pipeline network running track load, unit head loss program a maximum of three 3.11,7.72,3.11m/km, while Option III are connected to form a ring increases the safety of water supply. Comprehensive comparison, the Option III as the final program of the city's transformation, the transformation can be optimized for small and medium urban water supply pipe network to provide a reference.
