As an important part of the electric power system, the hydroturbine generator set is closely related to the safe and stable operation of the power system, so the development of its control strategy has always been a hot research topic in the control field. In recent years, speed control and excitation control have achieved fruitful results in their respective fields. Yet the hydroturbine generator set is a multi variable coupling and strong nonlinear system, relying solely on a single excitation controller or speed governor can not achieve good control effect. Therefore, based on the comprehensive coordinated control of the hydroturbine generator, the Hamiltonian system theory control method for the water-gate and excitation control of turbine generator is introduced in this paper from the viewpoint of energy.First of all, the five-order mathematical model for comprehensive coordinated control of hydroturbine set is established, and by selecting the appropriate Hamiltonian function, the generalized controlled Hamiltonian system of the hydroturbine generator set is achieved.Secondly, in order to make the system achieved asymptotically stable in the desired equilibrium point, the appropriate feedback control is selected to transform the system into the form of dissipative Hamiltonian, and the asymptotic stability of the whole system under the condition of non disturbance is proved by using the La Salle invariant set principle.Furthermore, aimed at the external disturbance of hydroturbine generator set, the robust controller is designed to restrain the disturbance based on Hamiltonian system theory, so that the system can achieve asymptotic stability under the condition of disturbance, and the dynamic performance and robustness of the system are further improved.Finally, the control system of hydroturbine generator set is modeled and simulated in Matlab/Simulink. The controller effect is verified by two sets of simulation experiments which are respectively, simulation contrastive experiment of traditional PID control and integrated robust control in this paper under the load step disturbance, and white noise interference experiment. The simulation results show that the control system of hydroturbine generator set based on Hamiltonian system control theory has good dynamic response performance and robustness.
