With the rapid developm ent of Chinese air transport industry and the increasing of air traffic demand year by year, the operating pressure on current air route network have increased dramatically, which will set higher requirement for the operation efficiency, resilient ability, etc. of ARN under the emergency situation. The increasing traffic demand, complicated aviation weather and frequent military exercise bring about the main air route congestion, low operation efficiency, etc. The China air route network is a complex infrastructure system which undertakes all air traffic activity. And under the influences of the uncertain factor such as the aviation meteorological, its large-scale complex structure cause the rules of air traffic dynamic operation hard to capture, and then much attention has been paid to its security and efficiency. Therefore, to address numerous practical issues on the complex system, we need to explore the relationship between network structure and operation function. And the influence evaluat ion of its operation contributes to identify the key waypoints and segments on the network and prevent it suffering large-scale cascading failure congestion.Combined the complex network with the traffic dynamics, this paper attempts to analyze the existing status of complex networks applied in traffic problems to research the CARN characteristics and its invulnerability. The CARN modeling based on the complex network method was studied, which takes 2014 CARN as the model sample; the statistical analysis of related characteristic measurement of the CARN and its weighted networks was completed. Then, according to the comparative analys is of invulnerability indexes of various traffic networks, invulnerability application requirements and data condition of CARN, an application example is given to validate the changes of CARN structure and operation index under different attack strategies. Simulations were carried out to assess the failure extent of the unweighted and weighted CARN; the problems such as the most effective attack strategy and failure characteristics were studied. The comparison analysis of various assessment indicators is conducted to explore the regularity of invulnerability changes of CARN. Finally, the simulat ion on the microscopic behavior of aircrafts and routing strategy under single waypoint failure is conducted based on Netlogo platform.
