The electric field intensity is an important technical parameter in the power engineering environment. People usually get the electric field intensity by theoretical calculation, but this method can't meet modern production environment. So, it has important research significance and application value that developing a portable electric field intensity measuring device. This thesis focuses on the usage of electric field measurement in the terms of electric power. The electric field intensity measuring device designed in this thesis can provide more objective and accurate electric field intensity to construction workers who operate in the high-pressure environment, so that it can ensure the safety of workers and equipment as well as the normal operation of transmission lines.This thesis elaborates the principle of obtaining electric field intensity by the way of electric charge induction firstly. By putting a measuring capacitance in the sensor and based on the charge induction principle, electrical electric field sensor can select induced charge under the influence of an electric field in space. We can calculate the external electric field intensity by measuring the potential difference across the capacitor.Due to reasons such as sensor itself or the environment influencing, the sensor's output and quantity to be measured are always keeping non-linear relationship. So non-linear compensation is necessary to improve the accuracy of measurement. And this thesis analyzed the non-linear error and introduced compensation algorithm. By analyzing the interpolation method and the method of least squares and other digital linearization techniques, a modified nonlinear compensation algorithm is proposed and it is used in the measurement device designed by this thesis for improving the measurement accuracy.Based on the complete of the overall design of the measuring device, software and hardware of the electric field intensity measurement and alarm device is carried out. This thesis completes the design of power circuits, conditioning circuits, temperature and humidity module, wireless module, display and alarm module as well as software design and debugging. The non-linear compensation algorithm is used during the measuring device design. Finally, the measuring device has carried on the experiment and analysis. The results show that the measuring device designed in this thesis can obtain higher measurement accuracy and meet the design requirements.
