Our country is a mountainous and hilly country, step-terrace frame structure is most widely applied in the mountain building. Because of the special grounding way-ranging from high ground, make structure serious vertical irregular and its mechanical performance complicated a lot than ordinary frame structure. Wenchuan earthquake damage survey, mountain building structure has different degree of damage. At present, the studies on common frame structure damage than mountain frame structure, but the specific mountain building structure seismic damage and energy dissipation analysis research are very few, so to carry out the plane step-terrace frame structure and space frame structure seismic damage and energy dissipation distribution has the very vital significance.The research object based on different step-terrace frame structure of RC plane frame and the space step-terrac frame structure in 8 degrees 0.2g area, for the nonlinear analysis software of Perform-3D, analyzed the structure based on component level, floor level and the overall level of earthquake damage, and the energy distribution law of structure were studied.Through the study of this article, the main conclusions are as follows:1. The plane step-terrace structure : Beam damage index is generally greater than column, the formation of "strong column weak beam" failure mechanism; Compared to other beam, the damage degree of the ground beam is more serious, and the most serious damage of column is on the ground plane, and the damage degree of medial layers coclumn is serious than the lateral. The damage index is maximum generally on the ground plane, badly damaged. Whether based on component level or floor level, the damage index of the step-terrace part are very small, basic no damage or minor damage.2. The space step-terrac structure: two-way under earthquake action, some of the beam damage index is greater than the column, some of the smaller than column damage index, form "strong beam weak column" damage mechanism, and difference from the plane step-terrace structure significantly. Along the X direction, the damage degree of the ground beam is more serious than other beam, the upper grounding column and the inside of the under grounding column in top layer injury is serious, else the damage degree of medial layers coclumn is serious than the lateral generally, explain medial layers column injury is serious. The most serious damageis is on the ground plane. With the increase of floor, floor damage index decreases, damage degree is more and more light. The step-terrace part damage index is small.3. By comparing the calculation structural damage index by double parameters damage model of Park-Ang, Kunnath and Lu Wang, discovering that Park-Ang damage model calculate the component damage index, the floor damage index and the overall damage index is generally greater than Kunnath and Lu-Wang damage model.4. In the plane step-terrace structure and space frame structure, the ground plane as the main energy floor absorbs the most energy. With the increase of floor, hysteretic energy dissipation percentage gradually decreases between the layers. For the plane step-terrace structure, beam is the main component of energy consumption. But in the space layer structure, column increases energy consumption as the main component of energy consumption. Structure of side span beam energy is greater than the cross beam, and the side span beam lateral than the inside of the energy dissipation of energy consumption. With the increase of floor, column in the internal absorbing energy increase gradually, side column is gradually decreased. On the above of ground plane, with the increase of floor, the top of column absorbing energy generally increase, and the bottom of column absorbs very little energy on the top floor.
