The rolling piston compressor substantially occupies the entire compressor market of room air conditioners. Its efficiency is directly related to the energy efficiency index of room air conditioners. Effectively improve the efficiency of the compressor is an important research project. To improve production efficiency and reduce energy consumption, and at the same time to promote the replacement of refrigerant is a hot research topic in the industry. Leakage inside the rolling piston compressor is the most important factor of the compressor's mass loss. It is a key way to improve the efficiency of the rolling piston compressor that decrease the leakage inside the compressor and at the same time keep the clearance between every parts.In this paper, R32 is chosen as the refrigerant. It has good thermodynamic performance and environmental performance. Based on the analysis of the internal leakage of the rolling piston compressor, the model of the radial clearance leakage and the facial clearance leakage are designed. It's different of viscosity between macroscopic and microcosmic channel. This paper built another model which is based on the macro channel model and according to the experimental data. The mass flow rate of refrigerant and lubricant through radial clearance and piston faces clearance are measured both experimentally and theoretically. In the experiment, by using the simplified rolling piston compressor in different types of clearance.The experimental data shows that the macroscopic model does not apply to the calculation of leakage in rolling piston compressor. The result of fitting formula model is much nearer to the experimental results while the fitting formula reduce 65%-80% of the the calculation error.The geometrical parameters of the leakage channel have a direct impact on the leakage. With different shapes of the rolling piston, the mass flow rate through the radial clearance is different. The leakage flow rate when the height is 15?m is 1.2-4 times the flow rate of 10?m. In the radial clearance leakage experiment, the arc of the rolling piston top has less influence on the leakage, however, when the clearance is 25 mm the leakage flow rate is 1.5-3 times the leakage flow rate of the flight one. Also in the radial clearance leakage experiment, the longer the oil film length, the greater the resistance of fluid in the leakage channel and then the smaller the leakage of the radial clearance. When the length is 2mm, the leakage flow rate is 1.5-3 times the leakage flow rate of 8mm. So reasonable design of the compressor's internal dimensions can effectively reduce the compressor leakage loss, so as to improve the operation efficiency of rolling piston compressors.
