The simplified modeling of structural dynamics for spacecraft cabin is proposed in this paper. There are some problems that should be considered in detail during in the process of modeling, and the corresponding simplified method of modeling are introduced. By using the measured sine response data to revise the simplified finite element model, high precision finite element model meeting practical needs is obtained in the end, which can be used for the spacecraft cabin's dynamic environment prediction and simulation analysis in low frequency. The main research contents of this paper are as follows:(1) The model of the spacecraft cabin was established by using the finite element pre-processing software Hypermesh, and simplified methods of modeling are introduced. Begins with a discussion of the shell-beam simplified modeling and entity modeling of cabin's shell in two ways. And then completed the cabin structure and connection between the structure finite element modeling. Finally, the integral finite element model of the cabin is established.(2) The model updating based on transfer characteristics of base excitation and damping updating method based on the sensitivity analysis are studied. The method can make full use of the sinusoidal vibration accumulation in aerospace engineering response data for finite element model updating. And the process of model updating is completed by the combination of NASTRAN and MATLAB software programming.(3) The model updating of spacecraft cabin is verified by using measured sinusoidal vibration response data. There are only 5% error between the finite element analysis and the experimental results after model updating, which meets the requirements of engineering accuracy. Finally, the model updating method can be used for the spacecraft cabin's dynamic environment prediction and simulation analysis.
