Ultrasonic phased array technology, with its unique advantages is widely used in various fields of industry, thus how to improve its technical level and how to apply the theory in real testing have always been urgent problems to be solved. Based on theoretical knowledge, this paper will analyze key technologies of ultrasound phased array imaging system and design a software system for phased array imaging, which will finally turn into a full set of ultrasound phased array imaging system with hardware board.On basis of ultrasonic sound field, the relevant parameters on ultrasonic sound field distribution were analyzed. Directly, various parameters of phased array probe affect the sound field directions and beam focusing technology affects the focusing properties. This article focuses on the optimal design of probe parameters and focusing technology to achieve a better deflection focus.One integral ultrasound phased array imaging system will be constructed here, especially for software system design. MFC framework technical is used for interface design and modular functional design for the entire detection system.The software system can be divided into one main-control module, one parameter-setting module, one data-processing module, one data-communicating module and one imaging module. The use of multi-threading technology helps complete data collection, data processing and image display.The software system can successfully implement sector-scan display and be used in detection with hardware system.Finished ultrasonic phased array imaging system will be tested on type B standard block for a series of detection experiments. By changing the aperture of probe and the depth of focus, linear and sector scanning are carried out under different conditions, which helps qualitative analysis of the imaging defects. In line with phased array ultrasonic testing standard of non-destructive testing equipment named GBT29302-2012, analysis of imaging systems resolution can also help verify the accuracy and reliability of phased array imaging system.
