Under the environmental pollution and energy crisis background, pure electric vehicles become the new favorites, and electric cars with two speed AMT has become the important composition of improving the performance of electric vehicles. Pure electric with two speed AMT due to the cancellation of the clutch, and the difference of two gear ratio is relatively large, so we need a detailed analysis of AMT shift process, and under the premise of ensuring the comfort, reduce the shift time of transmission, improve the power shift process of electric vehicle control strategy.Therefore, based on the existing research results, the following studies about two speed AMT were undertaken in this paper:(1) Pure electric vehicle power source is a battery powered, regardless of the lithium battery and lead-acid batteries, the proportion of its weight in the pure electric vehicle mass greatly, so according to the pure electric vehicle mileage requirements matching battery quality, and based on this outcome matching the whole vehicle powertrain parameters, including power battery, drive motor, the transmission ratio and the shifting actuating mechanism, than build the dynamic model and simulation model of the power battery, the drive motor, the transmission and the vehicle.(2) According to the working principle and the shifting process of the two speed AMT for the pure electric vehicle, analyzing detailed of the transmission shifting process and building each process dynamic model. A control method is obtained by shorter the shift time when ensure the promised driving comfort under the analysis the difference of the shift quality of AMT under different control of drive motor and shift motor.(3) Based on the analysis of the shift process control, a simulation model based on MATLAB / Simulink was built and carried out simulation analysis, and according to the simulation results to modify the shifting process control strategy of drive motor and shift motor based on theoretical analysis. Considering the effects of transmission shift time and shift energy consumption on vehicle power and economy, the dynamic and economic simulation analysis is carried out to verify how the shift process affect the dynamic performance and economic performance.
