With the exploitation and application of natural gas increasing, the construction of complication become the trend of gas pipeline networks now. So the management of gas pipeline networks responds to being more difficult. Based on the operation simulation of the gas pipeline networks, it can provide accurate section information and data for the monitoring,management and control of the gas pipeline networks. Therefore it turns out particularly important that the research on the operation simulation of gas pipeline networks.According to the performance of the gas flow in the pipeline networks system, it can be constructed on the basis of the continuity of the equations, energy equation, motion equation and BWRS state equation in fluid that the steady state simulation mathematical model of pipeline networks. And we have analyzed the matrix expression of the steady state pipeline networks system, with the networks structure analyzed through the application of graph theory methods, and the relationship between the performance of networks described in the form of matrix. In MATLAB-Simulink software environment, according to different requirements of networks simulation, section module is established accordingly, as well as the compression factor calculation module, flow calculation module, the outlet pressure module and inlet pressure calculation module. According to the pipeline networks structure to connect each calculation module with the matrix form of the pipeline networks steady-state system and the method of node, then run built model and directly calculate pipe section data information of pipeline networks as well as the node information.Several engineering examples with different network structure have been simulated under different pressure in MATLAB-Simulink software environment, and the obtained data compared with those from the existing literature results, the feasibility and accuracy of the method when applied to the steady-state pipeline networks hydraulic calculation are verified through analysis. And the accuracy of the method has been laid a certain foundation for the study of transient pipeline networks simulation.Finally the topic research has shown that this method to operate the steady state simulation prove to be of wide applicability, convenient operation, high calculation precision, etc.
