With the development of the national aviation industry, the aircraft interior low frequency noise has gained an increasingly attention from government and aerospace industries. Piezoelectric material has been widely applied in the vibration and noise control field for its excellent mechanical electrical coupling and frequency response characteristics. Among the control methods based on piezoelectric materials, semi-active control using synchronized switch damping method which can well meet the aviation weight and reliability requirements, due to its simple integrated system structure and stable control effect. This paper proposed a semi-active noise control method to improve the low frequency transmission loss of the aeronautical plate structures.Firstly, based on the theory of acoustic radiation of plate structure, the radiation characteristics and sound radiation mode of the plate system were analyzed by using numerical analysis method. Due to the numerical analysis results, the main forms of structure vibration distribution was determined.Secondly, the vibration mode and sound-vibration coupling problem of plate structure was analyzed by using finite element analysis software Abaqus. By using finite element dynamic analysis, the position of the actuator and the effectiveness of the semi-active noise control method is verified.Finally, a semi-active noise control system was built up to verify the proposed noise control method. The structure was excited by single frequency noise, dual frequency noise and white noise, semi-active noise control was applied to all the excitation conditions. The experimental results show that the system can adapt to various forms of excitations, and the control algorithm is simple and robust, and has effectively improved the low frequency sound insulation performance of plate structure. The proposed semi-active noise control method has successfully improved the low frequency transmission loss of plate structure and also broadened the application scope of the semi-active control method by using synchronized switch damping method.
